  • TIMELINE:   2025 - 2027

Project Overview

Telecoms Systems Integration for a new fully integrated, digitalized, and circular plant in Boden, northern Sweden. The giga-scale electrolyzer, powered by renewable electricity, will be the largest green hydrogen production plant in Europe. By swapping coal for green hydrogen, Stegra will refine iron ore into green iron, emitting steam – just plain water. This is game-changing innovation making it possible for Stegra to produce near-zero emission steel, setting a new industry standard. When fully operational, Stegra will reduce steel emissions by over 7 million tonnes per year. This will be Europe’s first new steel mill in 50 years and represents one of the world’s largest electrolysis plants.
